What reaches this site when a page is requested, and what the contact form keeps.
Requesting a page.
teslainfo.org is served through Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting a request produces the ordinary server-side record of that request: the requesting IP address, the user agent string the browser sends, the URL asked for, the time, and the connection metadata Cloudflare uses to filter abusive traffic. That record is held by Cloudflare under its own terms and retention periods, and is used here only to keep the site up.
Cookies and scripts.
This site sets no cookie. The stylesheet, the two typefaces and one small script that sorts the patent table are all served from teslainfo.org itself, so opening a page here is a request to this domain and to nothing else.
The contact form.
The form at /contact/ submits two fields: a name and a message. Those two values are stored, with the time of submission, so that the message can be read and acted on. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is kept from the form. Stored messages are removed after twelve months.
Links away from here.
Articles link to patent offices, archives, libraries and law reports, because a reader needs to be able to open the source. Following such a link is a request to that organisation's servers, governed by that organisation's own privacy terms.
Requests about stored data.
A request to see or delete a message previously sent through the form can be made through the same form; identifying the approximate date and the name used makes it possible to find.
